Hi! I’m Evan, a Graphic Designer who designs Graphics, Logos, Illustrations, Packaging and Print for active and sports apparel companies in the San Diego, Ca. Area. Some of my early idols were Shepard Fairey and Banksy because of the moral-driven causes reflected in their art and the mediums they chose to spread them, which influenced my overall love and appreciation for apparel. Through my work and projects I try to reflect their ethically-driven, clever, bright and memorable design.
Art has always been a major part of my life, beginning in my early Waldorf schooling, continuing through years of International Baccalaureate Art classes in high school, Associates in Art from JC and BA in Graphic Design from Cal Poly, SLO. My career has revolved around Art and Apparel, including multiple Summer art internships and launching a clothing brand before I was done with High School. In college I designed for start-ups like Shared Elements and High-Line Hammocks while simultaneously Freelance Designing. Later at Cal Poly I founded a lifestyle apparel brand, Island Supply Clothing Co., and designed for Cal Poly Corporations and Cal Poly Athletics in Men’s Soccer.
I currently work as a Graphic Designer for sports and active apparel companies, solving visual and aesthetic problems using a combination of my extensive industry knowledge and personally-gleaned intuitions from self-immersion. My extensive time learning the entire process of creating clothing, from sourcing fabrics and inks and working with manufacturers to production and embellishment, gives me unique insight on what makes for progressive, unique, and stunning Designs.
